About Scott Tyring

Scott Tyring has been performing as a Christian artist since 2000. He formed Living Stones, which later became Rock Prophets. The band performed classic rock, Christian rock, and praise songs around Central Indiana for 10 years.

Scott is a United Methodist pastor and serves UMC churches in the state of Indiana. His passion for classic rock music, and his devotion to Jesus, fostered the dream of a rock group to enetrain and lead worship. The musicians he has met and worked with over the years have left an endelible mark upon his music. His current release, "Wrestling the Stranger" is a collection of songs written during his time with Rock Prophets. The ups and downs of music ministry, and the joys and sorrows of pastoral ministry, are all evident in the lyrics and the passion of the music.

Scott is happily married to Michele since 1986. Together they have three children, two cats and a dog.

Scott Tyring is available to perform at your community. His performances range from acoustic and track backed solo appearances, to full blown rock 'n' roll band jams. The joy of singing and entertaining is obvious when you watch Scott play, but he will tell you, "I play for an audience of One."
